oops I'm batting 100% today. Must be because I feel like my chronic sinusitis is flaring up. Sore throat, post nasal drip, all the blessed pleasantries that go along with it.

I started salt water gargles and sinus rinses. I keep antibiotics on hand in case of a flare up so those will be started.

Our hound mix, Buck hasn't been wanting to come in once he is outside. DH and I went out on our deck which overlooks the eastern side of our property looking for Buck and there he was, sitting in the south east corner of the yard, patiently scanning the road for anything that might trespass on what he thinks is his property. They never leave the yard since we trained them with a hot wire across the front property line.

Our Dingo used to do the same thing. Lying in the same spot. Sent a chill up my spine to see Buck taking over Ding's job almost 4 years after Dingo was unable to stand sentry duty any longer.

We all have those losses so know how that pain stays but so does the love we felt for them

We know from the minute we let them into our hearts, that one day they will break them.

The joy we gain by loving them will, in time, once again outweigh the sadness they can bring to our lives.

Hope you get to feeling better soon, microchick.
