How do you train your brussel sprouts to do that?

No training they where big enough by then to make it still producing.
Think the key get them started really early inside then by the time they fruit they can make it.

Had cataract surgery years ago. Both eyes but, a week apart. It was nothing. My brother took me out for lunch after (each time- wow!!) I was totally awake and even saw the procedure on a screen in front of me- not that I wanted to.

All I was given was a tiny tranquilizer by mouth. Didn't hurt at all. Afterwards they had me remain for an hour - then had blood pressure check and was allowed to leave. ONLY problem was the doctor put the wrong lenses in the eyes.

I had one short sighted eye and one far sighted, I told him I wanted to keep that by having the proper lens installed. He goofed if up. After a lifetime of reading with one eye - it got switched to the other eye. Likewise my distance vision was reversed by the wrong lens.

NOT thrilled but quickly learned to adapt. After surgery I followed the instructions re: eye drops often(as prescribed, etc. Guess that should have been a warning to my brother.

My brother (diabetic with cardiac issues) had one cataract done (same doctor) somehow got
retina nicked. Sent to a retinalogist(sp?) and he made it worse. Finally went to a third dr.
who did what he could to repair the damage to retina. My brother still ended up legally blind in that eye. He has NOT had the second cataract done yet. Apparently it is very slow in maturing and he is very leery of having it done. Can't blame him.

* I was not having any vision problems when my doctor decided I needed cataract surgery. I told him I wasn't old enough to need it. He said even some babies are born with it. what??I think I was bamboozled into having them done early. Later discovered he was part owner of the surgical facility where I had it all done.

My mother didn't need cataract surgery. My father had it done at 80. They both went to a very good doctor who sadly retired before my brother or I could use him.

By the way medicare paid on both surgeries, and for one pair of glasses afterwards ( med.allowed up to $ 28. ) I paid a lot more. Very dumb of me. I have never had to use glasses before or after surgery but thought I better get some while it was affordable.

I'm a "do it now" personality type, like to handle things immediately instead of thinking or worrying about it. Dumb in my case.
