Mice have no useful purpose except to spread disease. I've traps set all the time. Field mice, voles and even got the Chipmunk that was getting in causing havoc.

I've found those easy plastic job traps good. Though the big mice can drag them off.

I tried a plastic rat trap on the squirrels and came out to see the trap going up through the trees. Crazy squirrel got caught and carried it off.

15° F here in the River City. Snow about 1.5 - 2" deep, (expecting up to 10") about 1/4" in the chicken run. Just opened the coop to let the girls out. Red, usually the first out, and Banty came out and down the ramp about 2 feet looked around and went back into the coop. I think this is their first experience with snow. Smart birds, It's snowing so let's go back to bed.

Brave man Rancher to make fun of DW's hot flashes!

It was so cold here she actually snuggled in bed the other night. Then she woke up.

The other night she sat down on the couch next to me and asked "what's on TV?" I said dust.............then the fight started.

One time we went to my 30yr high school reunion. There was this woman sitting at table drunk and swigging her drink. I kept staring at her and my wife said do you know her? I said yeah, she was my girl friend in high school. I hear she's been drinking ever since we broke up. My wife said, MY GOD! Who would think someone could go on celebrating that long?

My God! 7" here (first since 1988) and not enough plows and low digits that the salt won't work at so they are leaving their plows up not to scrape the salt off the road that they already put down. We went out to dinner a mile down the road and the number of donuts we saw cars doing was amazing. Don't they realize a little power can go a long way. Chickens never did leave the coop today but I did get 8 eggs. 8 for 8 not bad.
