My FIL had two types of kids. Those who worked on the farm willingly and Those who worked on the farm and did some housework also.

Helped her pick our first blackberries today (Sunday) Some 'bout the size of my thumb! I teased her about 1 berry per batch of jam.
 
Well I did find some wild berries but not many. I have been doing strawberry jams and a Red currant / Raspberry jelly. I had the berries in the freezer.

Froze a lot of strawberries for future use.

I did a Gooseberry jam but it's far too tart. I may dump it and mix something else in there to try to save it. I have other recipes. I can see why Gooseberries are not popular. By themselves they are not good.
