I received some fossils today that I traded for! Now to figure out what the heck they are, lol. Some kind of agatized bone, a piece of a megalodon tooth, some kind of little snail dude, and maybe a section of ammonite? I'll update once I hear back from some people that are better at identifying than I am. Speaking of which, @CHlCKEN would you like me to share the pictures of your fossils you were wondering about as well?

So cool!

The light tan piece was confirmed a section of ammonite perisphinctes, likely from Madagascar. So our plan is to slice it and see if we got lucky with an interior whorl! :fl
The bone is definitely a vertebrae of some sort and it's pretty big but no confirmation on species yet. I have entirely too much fun with rocks and fossils.

Drum roll please...the vertebra was identified as a likely plesiosaur vertebra. Pretty cool!

Notable features for identification:
- the bone is a vertebra and is platycoelous (both sides are flat)
- the bone looks rather dense, and may be pachyostic, indicative of marine species
- the vertebra looks to have two holes on the bottom, which could be nutritive foramina to provide the bone with extra blood

and two people that are way better at identification than I am both said plesiosaur, so that's pretty cool! Not sure what I'm going to do with a plesiosaur vertebra, but it's mine. lol
