Wait till you get them all there.

Hello! Lots of Colorado people--fun! I really don't get on here often enough. So what is up with the livestock shows in Greeley? Sounds interesting. I have 4, count 'em FOUR chickens left. Coyotes, a roving puppy, etc. Going to buy more soon.

How did we get 7000 members?!!? Wow

Andrea

Morning Bando, I don't have mine outside yet but coyotes among many other preds are what we have to be careful with. We we're talking about going to the Greeley swap some Saturday. I think ksacres from WY said she was going last weekend. Meant to ask if she did and how it went.

Where in Colorado are you? I'm in West Arvada where a little bit of agriculture still exists.
Cara

Cool, good luck. I know there's quite a few that have been on Craigslist.org too if you wanted to look there. I think I'd be in trouble going to a place that had so many animals up for the taking YIKES

Hello colorado chickies!

I am 12 miles south of Strasburg. Working on getting my first chickens soon. Any advice on coop insulation for those blowing eastern colorado blizzards?

How many chickens are you going to get? I insulated all my coops, but the ones I sell I insulate the roof, and then have double wall consturction for the rest of it.

I was thinking of only getting 4-5 chickens. It's just me and my husband for the eggs and the occasional dog treat.

What is the benefit of the triangle type coops rather than a little shed?
