Colourful and Unusual Chicken Eggs!

Pics
Haha...sneaky hens! Little vandals!

I think I might need to rename my girl Seurat...she's quite the pointilist! I love your egg...that's so cool...I've never seen eggs like these!
I swore it was my Svart Hona x B Cochin but she went broody on me and hatched some eggs but I still got the white speckled egg.

I watched one of my Golden Comets, Babette, lay this smler version of my pink speckled egg today. I guess she's just still trying to figure out this whole egg laying thing!

What's interesting is that I have two Golden Comets; Lucille is mostly orange whereas Babette has beautiful white lacing and feather details, so it seems only appropriate that her eggs have delicate white details too! I really hope she keeps laying them like this!
How fun that they’re speckled! I have two hens that have laid me speckled eggs, but only occasionally. Normally their eggs are solid color.

My chickens just started laying, I have 4 Barred Rocks 2 Silver Duckwing OEGBs. I thought the first egg was from one of the OEGBs because it was so small but that was wrong they are just small eggs right now, maybe they'll get bigger. I believe I have three layers at the moment!

Haha that makes me think of the Children's book Giggle Giggle Quack. It's about a duck that writes notes for the farmer's brother who is watching them while the farmer is on vacation. He's quite the sneaky duck!

I I had the same problem! Ended up with many roosters that I had to find new homes for. I kept one, my Svarthonas are such a nice pair that I couldn't stand to split them up. And he is very protective of his little hen! I'll keep them together as long as my neighbors don't complain! But it is interesting to watch the dynamics of having a rooster in the flock!

Oh my gosh you have such pretty eggs!

I have some nice eggs too, I have Silver laced Barenvelders, Araucanas, Pendensencas, and BPR, but their eggs aren't so different from the variety that has been shown.
I wanted to post this pic. Of the most beautiful eggs from a domesticated fowl that can be found, the Tinamou!

And speaking of tiny eggs, I LOVE my bantam eggs! They are great for making half recipes, and they make the cutest deviled eggs. You can peel them easily after boiling even when they were laid that day. My Sebright lays 5-6 eggs a week. My dream is to start a tiny egg company....

That is a brilliant idea! You should so do that! I can't wait to see my bantam eggs!
