the edge of insanity
I had silver laced wyandottes a few years ago and they gave me large/extra large eggs. I have a columbian wyandotte this year, who has been laying now for at least a month, if not a little more and I am still getting medium sized eggs out of her. She is hatchery. What gives?

I have a columbian and she lays extra large eggs (she's an adult), but my SLW who has just started laying about 5 weeks ago is still laying medium/small eggs. HTH!

Yeah, I have one hen who is tiny and she started laying after my SLW, but her eggs are already quite a bit bigger. And out of 9 chicks, only 2 of mine are even laying yet. And they are all around 25 weeks. I'm so ready for tons of eggs!!!

I would say AT LEAST 5 eggs a week if not more. No complaints about that!
