My barn cat and chickens interact fine. The cat does occasionally try to frighten them, but its all in good fun for her and no one gets injured.

Sometimes. Not so often now because of hawks/coyotes/and other predators.

Well, I’m officially considering a cat now. I totally didn’t spend the last few minutes researching about them! It’s not for sure... but it would be nice to have a bit of pest control.

Pest control is a must have! It's a huge benefit. I have 5 stray cats, one of them I have adopted and is an indoor-outdoor, serving as my main barn cat. I also have one full time barn cat who helps her, he’s new but does a good job.
