Exactly why Turkey feed is excellent fr Pekin and it's not niacin so much with Ducks.. More too It than that..I love love love my Pekins. They are so pretty and squishy but they were originally bred to produce large amounts of meat for butchering. They have really rapid growth. Moreso than other breeds. The niacin, is a vitamin. Think of it as taking your vitamins everyday like we all should but forget.And the series of B Vitamins (B complex) have a feel good effect on humans as well as ducks. So they will literally feel better in general. If you’ve ever had a vitamin B shot, you will know what I’m talking about. I personally take b vitamins everyday. Although it’s not from the livestock bottle.

Also with respect to the exercise. Think of it from the human perspective, if there are large overweight people and they start going out everyday and exercising, they will be in better health than if they were a couch potato.
