I've raised lots of chickens over a coarse of several years, mainly Orps, Barred Rocks, Aussies, & RIRs.
What happened to your blues?

Okay, were you making space for more birds?I sold them![]()
No I was selling off my layer flock.Okay, were you making space for more birds?
Yes, the lavender is a boy.Darn
The legs are probably a give away? But the comb doesn’t seem that big to me? Especially compared to the other Orpington and the definite cockerels? And no wattles? So I’m still hopeful which is probably dumb.
But I’ve had 3 other Buff Orpingtons, still have two of them, and some of them had huge combs and wattles, though I can’t recall if they had them this young or not. I know I had a Barred Rock once that had a huge comb and wattles even at 2 weeks old and I thought for sure she was a boy but she turned out to be a girl so
But the Lav is definitely a boy, right?
Okay, makes sense. No I was selling off my layer flock.
