Sees Jimmy's post about Orpington chicks.
*twitches*
Feels traitorous to her other breeds which she doesn't love *quite* as much.
I could tuck them in the corners, hubby would never know right?
Plainfield, CT here (border of CT and RI). Looking to raise Blue Orpington's as a family hobby.![]()
I thought I'd join in on this topic.
I live in Uncasville, soon I'll be moving to East Haddam. I have little Silkies, mostly black and black splashes. Later tonight, I'll be getting my first Lavender hen.So exciting! Maybe this year I'll take one or two to a fair somewhere and see how we do. I guess I better look up the breed standards for Silkies before I go anywhere and insult other Silkie enthusiasts with my lack of knowledge for a show bird or showing in general. lol
I'll show a horse all day long but chickens are still quite a mystery. Any advice for a first timer?![]()
