I have these two chicks, and the smallest one is 3 weeks older than the bigger one, she is just not growing at all, her legs don't operate quite right either my husband thinks she has a rickets LOL but she has stayed pretty much the same size since birth, I had her with a bunch of other chicks and I think they ran her over a lot and hurt her legs worse, so I put her in a box by herself and the chick that's with her came out of a small egg from my Seabright hen as well, the baby sister, the bigger one, is so protective of her small older sister, if I put her with bigger chicks that are a couple months old to try to introduce them she always stands up in front of her and tries to protect her from other ones, and when teeny gets cold, that's what I call the little one, the older sister will cover her with her wings and keep her warm. Have y'all ever seen this kind of compassion from a younger chick to an older chick?
