Can you give us some idea of costs for the cameras and stuff and what it would cost to have it all installed and hooked up? We have wii on one of our tv's inside our house already.

Thanks

I got my set-up from a guy on Graiglist here in Raleigh but his add says he will ship and set it up remotely. He has followed through on a few problems I created so you can check it out. If the link does not work then go to Graiglist, Raleigh NC area and type in IP Cameras and his add should come up. i love it and will probably add one more int he sleep coop. Let me know if you can't find his add.

How far away from the house is your camera? and Is the feed viewed on the internet? I don't know much about these things and I'm trying to wrap my brain around it. Thanks!

Don't feel foolish getting a camera...I love it. It has purpose especially when I introduce a new bird I can watch their interaction to make sure things are going goo, I watch them on the internet when I am at my camp trailer and have called my sitter to go put them in because of weather. Then there is the pure fun of watching them. I watch them a lunch at work as do my co-workers...And they may think I am on the twisted side but they enjoy it. They ask all the time how the chickens are and to bring the cameras up. As far as the lagistics...I think my farthest camera is about 25 to 30 yards away. I set up wireless on my comtputers in the house and the camera man told me to go with my lap top to the area where I want my cameras and see if I could bring up the internet...and I was able to so he said the camera signals would be fine... and they are. That was my worry too. It was so worth the money to me. I want to add one in the sleep coop soon. Now the mobile one is not water proof but it is under a roof and far back enough not to get pray from rain and it has been fine. I have not gone through winter yet with them but I am also in NC so the winters are not brutal like in some parts. Ask any queations and I will answer if I can. I can watch them anywhere on the internet. You put i your home sytems IP address and it pulls them up. Hope this helps. Ask on ....

My husband already thinks I am nuts about my chickens I can't imagine asking him to install a camera so I can make sure my girls are ok! But I would sure love one or 2 or 3!!
