You should be very proud of yourself/selves. Designing it to match your house was a good touch.
I know you don't need me to remind you but, speaking from experience, keep an eye on the toxicity of flowers/plantings you install. Wisteria can prove toxic and, depending on your climate, very invasive, as well.
You have a beautiful set up. Your ladies should be proudly repaying you.
Looking forward to seeing updates.

Thanks for the heads up! I hadn't looked in to the toxicity of Wisteria! I live in New England, but I know the plants can grow pretty fast! I was looking for a nice climbing plant to cover the front of the run to help blend i to the greenery. Can you recommend another less toxic climbing plant that will be safer for my ladies?!

I love your coop! They have such an awesome run too!

Can you comment on how you made your waterers? I am looking for something like that for our pullets - looks easy to fill (waterers at out local feed store are too expensive and too big!). Most of the commercial waterers are a pain to open and fill. I can't tell by looking how the water is released to the chickens.

Thanks for sharing - awesome ideas!

We made our waterers from advice that someone posted to BYC:

I too was so frustrated with dirty smelly water day after day.

We bought 3 chicken nipples here:

Tek Supply
360° Super Flow Push-In Nipple
Item# WC1045

Then bought a 1 gallon and a 2 Qt. pitchers at Dollar General.

Drilled the holes according to the directions at Tek Supply: Drill holes in the bottom of the sealed bucket with an 11/32" drill bit

The chicks took about 2 minutes to figure this out from the fount waterers we had in their coop before.

Good Luck!

I do not have detailed plans because they were all in my Son's head who built my new Chicken Coop for me but I do have a list of the materials we used.

Please take a look and let me know what you think!
