I just started building my coop yesterday (base and the tall wall done. My question is on the slope of the roof, I am planning on using 8 foot sheets of metal roof and am wondering If my slope is steep enough. My front wall is 8 ft and my back wall is 7 foot, the coop is 7 fooot wide so i have a slope of 1 foot over the 7 foot width is this enough?

You may have to pull snow off it now and then, but if there are 2x4 supports under the metal this should not be a problem. Certainly rain will run right off. You'll enjoy the metal, lasts forever, I wouldn't build with anything else, even for a house. Good luck!

you are good...go for it. Plenty of slope for your area. Even if it were to leak, your hens will love the drips.
