corn gluten pellet feed

does anyone have information on this type feed? I am thinking about feeding it to my free range birds. I'm thinking that they will get anything that the feed is lacking by foraging. The lady I talked to said that it was fed to hogs and cattle, but didn't know anything about feeding it to chickens and turkeys.

ETA: also, how do you think it would do for meat type birds (also free foraging)?

Its ok for cattle, not hogs or chickens too high in fiber. Now corn gluten meal is different, its used in chicken feed as a high protein blend. There is a difference in corn gluten feed and corn gluten meal. Corn gluten feed is used in cattle rations as a high protein and high fiber blend.

I put corn gluten on my yard as a crab grass inhibitor but am afraid to let hens out while it is visible on the ground. anybody have any advice? my girls are going crazy cooped up.
