Was at a small APA/ABA show yesterday. I was beside myself. A fella had some pretty nice looking cornish but they had leg mites scales like you just wouldn't believe.

It is EASY to criticize others.
Get out there and do something, stop criticizing. What are you bringing to the table?
Show me the birds.
This applies to ALL out there. People who live in glass houses should not throw rocks.
Walt, I hope that you are not upset about the fact that the aseel pictured displayed eyes that were not pearl. Whether it is the monitor, pixels, or whatever is irrelevant to me. This forum is all about sharing and learning as far as I am concerned. I post in with absolubtly non-malicious intent. It is what it is - as they say.
I am not "thick skinned". I just don't care. I always say "Everyone is entitled to be WRONG". I know what I have. I have very good mentors / friends to guide me along the way. If you want to beat me you better breed. I dont go to lose.
For all the critics - have at it. Critricize those.

Uh, leg mites that are that noticeable at a show. I would think, and HOPE that someone would have enough sense to tell them to take their birds home. Isn't something like that an instant DQ? Injury and disease in showing rabbits is an immediate dismissal from the table. Not have shown birds yet myself other than my kids taking them to the fair, I would think it would be the same for them.
I would feel like a total moron to even THINK to take birds with mites to a show.
Not only were those birds not removed, they Placed. Two got a blue and one got a red. I was horrified. They should be removed form the show. Here is Cali they would not make it into the show.
