Wow! That brought back an awesome memory! Years ago (many ... many ... moons ... ago!) we had a Stewart's nearby. Not the grocery store, the root beer stand! And not just any root beer stand ... THE ORIGINAL Stewart's Root Beer Stand! It all started there with an open-air drive-in restaurant (complete with roller-skating car-hops on weekends!) The rootbeer was draft, on-tap, straight outta the seasoned barrels it was brewed in.

Oh. My. Gosh/Heavens/GERD! That stuff was AMAZING ... and the food was pretty good, too! The restaurant evolved many times over the years, but finally closed sometime in the past decade. Sad, Sad, Sad times ..... But what a memory!
OMG that sounds AMAZING!!! :love :drool
Have a french fry for me, please! Friendly's fries were the BEST!
Will do!!! Hahah

One opened in Rockaway, NJ in the nineties. They were closed Sunday because back then everything was. When things began staying open on Sunday, they stay closed, and my (pastor) parents praised them for it. I remember going quite often, and never saw a girl fall on her skates.

My cheat sheet says cardboard at room temperature is good after three days. it will be longer at cooler temps too.
We bring them in, wipe or spray, and let them sit around for three or four days. If we need to see the item sooner, then more spray, throwing out the packaging immediately, and washing up very well.

Our burn pile has been going pretty regularly for a couple of weeks, now. Every bit of unnecessary paper goes into it - envelopes, wrappers, grocery packaging. My kids LOVE playing this new game. They've even given it a name ... "Pyro in the Firepit!" They've been pretty efficient with it. Not only do they take care of incoming, potentially contaminated goods, but I've gotten a lot of old files and paperwork cleaned out. I did have to draw the line a couple of times ... once when DD started to burn used pine litter from the coop (EWWWWW, that was NASTY!) and again when she wanted to burn a paperback that she hasn't read in awhile. We will have no book burnings! ... at least, not yet!

They(?) claim you are supposed to leave packages outside at least for a few hours. They wipe them with disinfectant I guess and let them air out some more. Then throw the wrappers away (???) and eventually, I guess, see what is in the package
What;s in the package? Masks and gloves! :lau :gig Ok sorry!
