I also saw a youtube video about an exercise that happened about 2 months before the outbreak in China. It was organized by the Bill Gates Foundation and Johns Hopkins. The exercise consisted of simulating an outbreak of... drum roll... coronavirus?! I try to keep a balanced view and this has me pondering this whole thing. Referenced video.

I'm a retired nurse. Trust me, you need to be careful, especially if you are like me, over 65 and have pre-existing conditions.

People IMHO stock up on things like toilet paper because it is something we can do and not feel helpless while we are doing it....unless you can't find any and then that pretty well hurls. But we need to feel like we can be in control of something right now and being stocked up on food etc is the one thing we can all do and still feel in control. Lordie knows nobody can fully control a virus or bacteria.

My husband and I contracted H1N1 just by being in a room with somebody who was not coughing or sneezing....just breathing. This is worse than that.

It's not disturbing at all. The bill gates foundation does a lot of work with medical charities and johns hopkins is, obviously, a hospital/health org.

SARS is a type of corona virus, which had an outbreak in the early 2000's that effected china really badly. It also hit the USA. After that USA started working internationally to make pandemic preparedness plans.

It makes complete and total sense that international organizations dedicated to public health would be having committees and plans made for a type of virus that has already been internationally epidemic and frequently mutates into new strains.
No conspiracy theories needed to add the the garbage fire. This was just people doing their jobs. Those meeting and preparedness plans were happening, and have been happening for decades, because stuff like this has happened before and will happen again. Cornoa virus isn't new - just this strain of it. This whole thing would probably be a lot worse if those sorts of meetings weren't happening at all.

Like what's the proposal here? Bill Gates made the Coronavirus? The CDC does pandemic simulations and updates their pandemic plan every year too. Did the CDC make the virus too?

Oh fantastic! 11 days ago, they only had price gouging 3rd party sellers with it. We're talking $30 for one bottle. My hubby wanted me to order it anyhow but I said no way.
