I can count on one hand how many times I've worn a mask since the crap started. Few places I frequent didn't require one, and they got my money. Won't get the shot as I'm not convinced on the long term side effects being zero as we're told they are.
As stores drop the masks, I'll start purchasing from them.

I went to one local store yesterday. They still had mask requirement. Only seen one person without a mask in the store.
I intend to wear a mask for a few more months. Less than 40% of my county is fully vaccinated and I have a week to go before I am. Too many variants that still can be an issue. I want to see what happens before I go naked

Yes the whole Covid-19 emergency declaration is due to expire the second week of June. The mask mandate is ending soon for fully vaccinated individuals. However I have trust issues and people do lie. I will wear my mask in public when inside or in crowded outdoor spaces. And it really hasn't been all that brutal @cmom here in Massachusetts. When the governor issued a mask "advisory" most people were happy to wear one. By the time it was mandated, we were already doing it. The people who "suffered" the most were those who had trouble helping their children adjust to remote learning because in person school was not allowed. However, I've heard a lot of people remark how they were able to spend more quality time with their children. I learned a long time ago that in a crisis some will complain and get angry, others will rise above it and move on and appreciate whatever they have left. Just saying!

Today my workplace quit requiring masks for people who are two weeks past their second vaccination. Saw a few people without them today, too.

I get mine Monday, so let's see - June 6th I get to go without it at work! I'm still going to wear it in stores and public, indoor places for a while, until there's definitive proof vaccinated people can't pick it up and pass it on without getting sick ourselves.

Good news for me, Mr. Dog, who's been skeptical due to what I consider misinformation, finally decided to get vaccinated! We work at the same place, and after finding out 1. work's ending the mask mandate for vaccinated people 2. we get a paid day off when we get each of them 3. his father and brother (the sources of some of the misinformation) got vaccinated, and 4. I got mine and didn't drop dead or turn into a zombie.

I'm SO glad I just got it myself and didn't try to browbeat him with science and logic, even though I've been extremely tempted - had to bite my tongue many times and just give him time to reach his own decision. I tried to keep it to normal conversations, such as, Him: "how was your day?" Me: "I got my first covid vaccination, they were so organized, I was in and out of there in 15 minutes. Then I stopped at the store, and you wouldn't believe what I had to pay for a bag of apples." and last week, Him: "I saw you went grocery shopping, did you pick up the dog's pills at the pharmacy?" Me: "Yeah, I dropped off her prescription but had to wait a bit because they have the covid vaccine there now, so a bunch of people were in line ahead of me. No biggie, I just got the groceries and by the time I was done they had her pills ready."

Work is not requiring people to show vaccination cards or anything, it's pretty much on the honor system - I trust most people, so we'll see.
That's great. 😊

Only 40%...wise to wait.

But if people lie, your protected/vaccinated right so your protected!

I agree, this whole pandemic has allowed me some more quality time with my kids. Now I will say remote learning was for the birds and my younger kids have learned a ton more already while being back in school for the past month or so.
