Before this really kicked off, my sister would go to the park with her one year old son who is half Korean and she said people would look at her son and try to steer their kids away from him. He wasn’t even sick or even remotely sick. This was weeks before the first social distancing in America. They obviously haven’t gone out now, but I hope her significant other who is Korean won’t be targeted when he goes to the store. The funny thing is he was adopted as a baby by American parents so he’s not even “from” Korea (and not to mention not from China and even if he was it’s wrong to discriminate).
We come close to crossing the line, but most appear to be rational. Of course there are several on 'ignore' option.
Numbers in NY this morning show the highest mortality so far.
