The way I understand it, we're all going to get it in some way or form and at some point, or do I misunderstand it? That's an honest question, not a smart @$$ comment. To me, it looks like Covid 19 will be around from here on out, like chicken pox and the shingles, and that like those, most people will get a mild case and move on. Others will suffer with it, but likely survive, unless there are other complications. Since this is the first outbreak, it's particularly virulent, mainly because no one has any immunity to it. The goal is to slow its' progress down enough so that the medical community can handle it ... and hopefully come up with an effective treatment.
Again, this is just my "take." Am I even close?
Yes, you are extremely close. I give you a A+ for you’re summary. 👍

I don't want anyone coming to my house besides family. I'm in the woods for a reason 😂 I like my peace and quiet.
Put biohazard symbols around perimeter!
😆

Worst April Fool idea I've ever dreamed up:
Load delivery boxes with whatnot flotsam and jetsam. Label the box with a decoupage image such as face mask, respirator, latex gloves, other PPE. Put "April Fool!" Note inside with the other junk.
Place dicretely somewhere .... :gig:lau

Welp, I was exposed and so was my hubby. His coworker tested positive. Now we are BOTH quarantined at home, just waiting for the symptoms to start. Thankfully, there are tests available. I'll be fine, but my hubby is older than I am and has lousy lungs.

We are in limbo in so many ways. We are between houses - having sold ours but not yet bought another and living with my mom. I am a teacher who was relocating a couple hundred miles north of here and just waiting for my contract to end in June. But now school is canceled for now and hiring is frozen. I had interviewed and was given a job offer, but I was supposed to sign the contract this week. Now I'm sharing a small house with my hubby, my mom, 2 adult sons, my older son's gf, a combined 7 dogs, 5 cats, 1 guinea pig, and 8 chickens. It's a zoo - literally. I am worried for my mom and hubby.

But at least I'm getting paid. I feel so badly for people who find themselves without work and no pay all of a sudden.

I wish I knew that everything is going to be ok....

I am so sorry you are going through this, my prayers are with you and your family.
:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs

Is there any studies or stuff we can read on this?

A lot of mixed info out there on the main stream news media.... depending upon which one's you look at it ranges from it's a lie no proof, to - here's the proof it's going to save us all...

On a newscast last night Anthony Fauci said there is a possibility of efficacy, but that it has not been proven. I tend to believe him over others.

Good morning everyone!
Here's this mornings totals from Colorado

277 cases
38 hospitalized
22 counties
2,952 people tested
2 deaths

I have off work today, so it's nice to be away from the hospital. My plan for today is a full wipe down of the house. I've been wiping things daily, but I want to dig in deeper today since I have the time. I'll put on some good old 70's pop and dance my way around the house. Really need a break from all this stress. I do need to go get chicken feed, and may pop into the grocery store to see how things look there. I really don't need much, but someone did mention chocolate:barnieand I don't have any. I hope you all are well this morning and staying safe.

Yes I heard that mentioned on CTV news last night, which is a credible news source. There was little info available and I got the feeling that the only reason anything is being said about it is to give people hope.
I, personally, have seen entirely too many “end of world” flicks and part of me is waiting for the other shoe to drop...when either the recovered people turn into zombies or the possible ‘cure’ turns them lol.
In that vein, let’s say the world does end: I, and you my fellow chicken keepers, want to keep our flocks, but what if we could no longer get commercial chicken food. How could we feed them? I’m in the bush, not a farm, so no access to grain but I do have plenty of meat, potatoes, apples and mountain ash berries. Thoughts?
