Now you guys have me wanting to go watch those crime shows :lau maybe while I’m planting seeds tonight or something. 😂

I love watching Dateline and 20/20 and those type too!! I like stories with it. But I also like Snapped, 48 Hours, all those. They’re fascinating.

But that said, I really don’t watch the reality crime shows much unless they just happen to be on. And I never really channel surf anymore so don’t really watch them.

I do love the fiction ones too though. I love any crime/detective show or psychology, real or not real. It’s interesting to me.

NCIS (original and New Orleans, don’t really like the Los Angeles version that much), Hawaii Five 0, Magnum PI, Criminal Minds, FBI, etc. etc.

And I love the UK detective series!!

Getting pretty ridiculous again. Who said disability payments would be revoked??
Personally I don't think anyone, or any business that wasnt directly affected by this should get anything. We have four kids so I'm thinking we're supposed to get $5g?
Why? I'm working. I know its also to stimulate the economy , and it would be nice to get some of my money I pay in back, but is it really necessary? Shouldn't there be a requirement that it only goes to those affected? It's not free money doesn't grow on trees.
So much conflicting info out there
I had heard you had to make under 75k... but since it hasn't been passed it could end up as anything

Naw, I'm seeing red too @FortCluck. I know too many people who are disabled and work their butt off, or people who can't because of their conditions.
It's not like anyone asks to be unwell in any way. And the idea that people are just doing it to be lazy is nonsense. Humans are, by their nature, disabled or not, industrious.

Like, raise your hand if you're going stir crazy and wish you could Do More Things even though you're being told to chill indoors and watch TV and eat cheap food and easy calories all day. Oh, what? It's, like, ALL of us? I thought we were all gonna be lazy bums if none of us had to work though....

The number of people who are out of work and refusing to do things because they're lazy and don't want to do anything, even difficult things, has to be absolutely minuscule. I'd guess that 99.9% of the people on this site, many old or disabled, took on chicken keeping willingly. Cleaning poop boards WILLINGLY. They didn't have to but they did.

The idea of someone who "doesn't work" (and especially "doesn't work" as in "doesn't produce wages") being worthless is garbage. There's a million reasons why people don't work, most have nothing to do with not wanting to do work. It's EXTRA trash when that person has a serious health condition.

Help out poor people. Give them at least as much as you're offering to rich people. Do good recklessly. What are they going to do with it anyhow? Not spend it? It'd go straight into the economy!

Most people can't even work right now it's so sad. My heart hurts for everyone 😭

So why should people that dont work get something for working people who are out of work?
Some (not all) people on welfare are on it by choice and would rather have that instead of working.
However, many disabled people (again, not all) are on disability because they can't work. Most of the ones I know would much rather have a healthy body and be able to work like they used to before...say... an accident left them crippled, or a disease stripped them of the ability to function normally and take care of themselves.
Yeah, those people...they need and deserve to eat as well.

Not everyone who is on, or has ever been on, disability are "less." Some were VERY productive (by your measure) before something unexpected, and through no fault of their own, turned their lives up side down.

A little humor to lighten the mood.
