My brother lives in Shreveport. He's been trying to get his house there ready for sale for the last two months. Now that it's ready to go into the hands of a realtor, he can't leave!

My mother in law wanted to sell this year as well (2 houses property on 4 acres, chosen by my father in law, now that he's passed it's just way too much for her to handle) but obviously that's not happening now. Neighbor also wanted to sell (the husband had a stroke, 2 acres is too much for the wife to deal with) but now they're stuck too.

Until now I've only ever owned one good roo. He was older when I got him and passed of old (old for a roo) age. That's a roo I miss. All the others have been mean, nasty, feathered balls of red hot hate.
Momma does not tolerate shi**y behavior. Nope.
So far my boys are good!!! Red is a bit of a jerk to the girls but never to me. And since getting beat up pretty good, he’s been a lot more respectful 😂🤣

Well those don't sound very edible.
:lau

They’re not for food! More layers/pets. :D

Where did you order from? They will probably send an extra anyway. Cackle sent us 3 extra on an order of 16. Three died so we ended up with what we had ordered. We ordered extra to begin with so now we actually have a few too many, but no worries, we have a freezer.
Mine are from Ideal. Never ordered from them before. Usually order from Meyer but Ideal is the only one that has Brabanters.

Same here. The last order I got (Sept 2019) was for the exact 10 chicks on the order, from Hoover, for a new to me breed- Sapphire Gems.
The only time all the "girls" ended up actually being all girls and the only time in 15 years I did not get extra chicks in an order. :(
That would have been a great order to get extras on because they have turned into wonderful friendly birds. Excellent layers of extra large brown eggs too.
They sound amazing :love

I went on an 8 hour trail ride in a McClellen saddle when I was 11. I mouthed off at the trainer so my punishment was the McClellen saddle torture. I couldn't walk normal for days. The other awful saddle is the late 1800 through turn of the century no padded seat 12" cantle. Pretty sure my tush has no nerves left from hours in one of those things!
OMG!!!!

Look what I got today.
Thanks to a secret donation.

The wrong way/mean face first.
Then the correct way to wear the mask...I think.

It's official, I just spend a small fortune on materials to make these feathered kids a run. Hubby insisted on it being 24' wide using coop wall, x37' long x36 wide to the fence line, then come in 11' to meet the brooding house. it will be 8' tall and have a fully fenced roof. No eagles or hawks will get to my babies! :fl I also insisted on a run inside the run for the wee ones in the brooding house, so when they are ready they have a little yard to acclimate to the bigger kids.
Someone, please tell me I haven't completely lost my mind!!!:barnie:wee:confused:
