The USPS guy approached Duckling yesterday unprotected. I have masks by the doors now, but will apparently need masks and hand sanitizer in my pocket.

Some things come into our house unprotected. I accept them, they come into the back porch and stay there, and I wash my hands immediately. I then don't touch those items for at least three days. Usually more like a week. It might be egg cartons from a customer, or even the cash they paid me for eggs, which goes into a jar. Even our groceries mostly go down to the basement where we don't use them for at least a week. I guess the exceptions are milk and produce. Milk goes to the back of the fridge and produce gets washed, so .... shrug. So far it's working.

They say you can’t catch it from touching things like they previously thought. It’s contact to other people that spreads it... I’ve been opening all my packages outside and the boxes go into the burn pile. I bring everything in from the boxes and wash my hands. I’ve been doing it that way since way before this virus even started.

On a Corona note, today was the 1st time in quite some time that I was able to see a majority of folks not wearing masks or even trying to social distance. Here in Denton, Tx -- At TSC, Lowe's, Sam's Club & CVS the unmasked ones were over 60% of the customers. Of that ~60% w/out masks a majority of them actively showed no effort to the 6' minimum toward anyone in the stores, entering or exiting the stores or at check out. The parking lot was also filled with much more aggressive drivers.

Any time I was turning a isle-corner and got surprised by another cart or family that I couldn't see until "right there" - I'll apologise and those that were masked; they were all very pateint/compassionate and even would have a thank you reply. The folks w/out make in those events looked at my bandana/masked face like I was some wierdo. One fellow older white guy (like me only older) was oddly gruff as if he couldn't be bothered/or maybe wasted a few of his precious seconds by my courteousness.

Uh I know that look. I hate that look and the attitude. Makes me want to do a boogeyman howl to scare them when they do that. First time I got a look was at the gas station pumping gas. Female human was sitting in the passenger seat glaring daggers at me. I guess she was mad because wearing a mask had political meanings to her or whatever.

Something happened like a month ago. I was in a store.. wearing a mask social distancing etc. When I was about 10ft from the exit a lady wearing a mask opened the door to enter, but held the door open and waved me to come on through. Because of how she was holding the door I would've had to walk within 2 feet of her. Dang standoff at the door she kept waving me through, I kept waving her to come on. Several seconds of that later I just picked a different exit. I doubt she ever understood...

On another note someone on one of my FB groups said they tested positive beginning of May. They haven't retested themselves but they still have bouts of extreme exhaustion and nausea. This virus is so strange :( they're also no longer quarantining and that kind of stuff worries me too...

People who get too close to me I stare at them with my masked face and walk backwards until I have 6 feet of distance. I think it’s so rude people who don’t care. I don’t care who they think they are, they need to back up 6 feet. I truly never liked people being close to me. I don’t like friends hugging me, I guess I just like my space.

I had a guy touch me 3 times a few years ago and each time I told him I was not okay with it and to stop. After the 3rd time I wasn’t so nice... my now husband was quite impressed with my self defense skills 😁 I think that’s why he likes me too. I may look like some poor defenseless girl, but my dad didn’t raise a little prissy girl. I know how to protect myself even with my nails done and heels.
