Ulysses. Homer. The Iliad ... all books to be savored in small doses, like a series of short stories ... otherwise, your head'll be spinning trying to figure out all the language nuances ... ACK!
Then there's Darwin's Origin of Species. I DARE anyone to try that one on for size. I've never read anything as dry, boring and full of hoo-hah mixed in with some amazingly sound evolutionary theories in my life ... and I will NEVER do it again!

Oh, I loved it! But this is from a girl whose favorite book as a kid was Webster's Eigtht Collegiate Dictionary...

I was going to read Harry Potter books once I am done with some others. Maybe I should read that instead

I didn't like Potter. I'd start with the grown up version were I you. I might check these out myself. Might get rid of the bad taste I have for the Potter series.

On a positive note, after getting and then recovering from COVID, hubby and I are set to close on our new house on 7/7. The pandemic has drawn out our homebuying process from what should have taken 2 months to nearly 7!

I'm shocked that there's other people out there that read books besides me, do kids in school read anymore I'm only 36 but I grew up without a cell phone I was on the cusp of being able to grow up human...lol... and shockingly enough I have absolutely no social media nor do I want it anyone I want to know about or wanted to know about me is in the know... I connect with my relatives from Italy over WhatsApp and that's all I need oh, don't need to see what people are eating where they're walking where they're sitting
