I hate to cast aspersions but perhaps it is related to the fact that the 7 states with the poorest education results are in the southeast.
Perhaps the same reason some didn't believe Obama was born in the US. Maybe they didn't know Hawaii was a state.

Colorado has issued a statewide mandate to wear masks. It's about time, but the sad part is that most people in my town have already said they will refuse to comply and I also heard that our town Manager is not going to enforce it.

Just remind 'em that, if they don't like the masks ... they're gonna just LOVE the respirator!

Way back in grade school, I got a great deal of grief over my height ... or rather, my lack of it. At one point, in the middle of a huge band rehearsal, our tuba player asked me, "If good things come in small packages, what happened to you?"
It had not been a particularly good day, so I bit back with, "Yup, it's true. Good things DO come in small packages. But so do poison and dynamite ... so watch your step!"
The whole band room went silent, then he started laughing and everybody else joined in. I never had a problem again, after that, except in good-natured fun. It was AWESOME!

I too have asthma, and know several other people more affected than I am. Wearing a mask works fine, and is certainly better than getting this disease by not wearing one!

My best friend's MIL has an oxygen tank. She's also way overweight (to put it nicely.) Wearing a mask is tough for her, as every time she moves something gets tangled. She solves that problem by just staying home ... driving her son and DIL NUTS!!!!

Do you think it would help that scummy stuff that seems to grow in kitchen drains all by itself??

Definitely! Build a coffee filter into it. That'll catch a lot more gummy mess!

Staying at home may not be ideal but is probably a good idea for most of us.
