Coturnix Quail Basics- Information and Pictures Galore

We wrapped them in bacon and baked them in the oven. Didn't even season them and they were excellent.

Much much easier to clean than a chicken. I didn't even need a knife to skin or gut.
 
I always pluck mine but I think next time I'll skin them. The way we've been cooking them, the skin is soggy anyway. But they are so YUMMY!!!!!

Canned/pickled 5 more pints of eggs Sunday - 24-26 eggs per jar. I just love them that way!!!! They are truly the perfect bird.
