Why is it that Coturnix don't usually go broody?

Probably about the same overall all factors taken into consideration as there has been more emphasis in breeding for that trait in other domestic fowl…..it does happen with coturnix…..just more rareBut what about other domestic birds?

Oh, I want Scaled Quail! They need a large aviary, right?Oooo! In hatching some mixed coturnix rn. Some are pure scaled quail, Bob white, and then coturnix!
