Why is it that Coturnix don't usually go broody?

I have a little chick who is yellow with black stripes, will it turn out cinnamon?

Most likely Italian but pearl and pansy fee also start out yellow

Years of domestication has pretty much deleted natural instincts

Probably about the same overall all factors taken into consideration as there has been more emphasis in breeding for that trait in other domestic fowl…..it does happen with coturnix…..just more rare

Oooo! In hatching some mixed coturnix rn. Some are pure scaled quail, Bob white, and then coturnix!

One of my little ones that hatched the other day has dark feet. Except for his two middle toes which are the normal tan/yellow, his feet are a dark chocolatey brown. That normal? Have I just not noticed before?
