Nice! My oldest birds turn 14 weeks old throughput this week. I’d love eggs in October! My two oldest are about 15 weeks, and the youngest of the group are 12 weeks. So it’s definitely early, but not totally impossible to have eggs by October!

I have three pullets born on the 16th of June… so excited for the first eggs to be coming sometime soon!I have a flock of 10, all hatched in June this year 6/3, 6/10 and 6/21).
Since the first just turned 12 weeks, I am getting excited watching them mature and get their new feathers, while they work out the pecking order.
I am hoping to get an egg by November (worry that light might play a part), but I think October is a possibility! None of mine are production breeds, so I don’t think anyone will be super early.
Feel free to join this thread if you also have June babies, and let’s wait together to see when each of our ladies lays their first egg! Post a pic of the egg and who laid it! (General location would be awesome too, to see if it had any impact). Once the first lays, I’m sure the posts will come flying in!
Yes! We need some people with June hatched Leghorns or ISA Browns.Anyone on this thread have high-laying breeds that could lay early? You can be the “get ready” mark for the rest of us!![]()
