Crafters- What are you making???

Pics
I have finally started knitting the Christmas stocking for my newest nephew. I may have started with too small a need though. I forgot what size I used for the other 11.

My daughter is making "quilted potholders" for her grandmothers...and myself

I'm starting to think that I may not get my knitting done in time for Christmas. Thanks for sharing all of these good food gifts. Some may not be getting a hat or scarf and may be getting more munchies.

That bottle is so pretty Frog! I'll have to look for Italian soda..I think, in the mean time, I'll be a good recylcer too and use my Frappacino bottles. I am addicted to that so it won't be waster and with some goo gone I can get all the labels off. The lid rescres and I can put a piece of cut cloth over the lid and tie a ribbon around that for a cute decoration. I will, of course, sterilize them first in my pressure canner, but I think they will work okay and I won't have to buy bottles. I drink those Frappacinos every day..if you haven't tried them....don't!!! They are addicting!!!! lol!!

Nice to hear from you Gwen!! I think Terri Lacy is the Queen of quilted potholders, I bought some from her last year with chickens on them, very nice work. Good luck on yours Gwen..I am going to look through old posts and find your salsa recipe if I can ..if not, I'll be pming you for it!!

Swampducks..cute name by the way!!..you are on your 12th knitted stocking?!!! Wow!!!

You might be the one of us that gets to sit back and rest a bit nearer to Christmas!! Good job!

Scrambled- We also love frappuccino. We don't buy any starbicks because they donate to anti second amendment organizations. But every once ini a while like when we have out shooting match campouts, we will buy some for the morning of our shoot to fill us up a bit and perk us up.

What I started doing though is making my own. Now I do it every month. It is sooo much cheaper!!!

Frappuccino 24 oz. (1 gal +)

1/2C. espresso (2 1/2C.)
2 1/2C. milk (1 gal)
1/4C. sugar (1 1/4C.)
1 T. dry pectin (5T.)

Combine all ing. in pitcher or covered container. Stir or shake until sugar is dissolved. Chill and serve cold.
For mocha add 1/16t. cocoa. I add hot chocolate powder.

Fake espresso

Use 1/3C. ground coffee and 1C. water. Brew once then run coffee through again using same grounds. Makes 1/2C. fresh espresso. Run full pot of water through machine to clean.

I make enough for 3C.

Since I always have coffee and sugar, I just buy an extra gal. of milk and in thirty min. wallah!!!Frappaccino!!!

Monica

I don't use the pectin, it just makes it thick like store bough, which I like but whenever I use it it doesn't dissolve completely and we have some chunks, not good.

There's a whole thread somewhere with instruction for making the polymer clay eggs. They are molded around real eggshells that were blown out. When one breaks during the manufacture process, LCRT stages them with the chicks and sells them anyway. Smart business plan!

Here's the link to the instruction thread...

I'm thinking about doing that for my DH's grandmothers too. I never know what to get them, but everyone can use a pretty potholder.

My MIL is getting a throw sized quilt from me. Just finished the top yesterday so now I need to get it quilted. Lots of people are getting wallhangings.

Here's the quilt top for my MIL:
