Crafters- What are you making???

Try printing it out on some of that parchement-look paper, cut out with regular scissors, then singe the edges with a lighter. Ends up looking really cool. Have done this before with other projects. Just do it outside so the soot/smoke doesn't get all over the house (learned that one the hard way). Tilt the paper a little over the flame and you can scorch marks over the writing. Then roll them into scrolls and tie with a bit of raffia. Ends up looking like an ancient treasure map that way.

May take a couple of tries to get the hang of it. Rub away any blackened edges off before you roll it up and it won't be messy for the recipients.

Awesome idea Lori!!! Between the atomic smoothies with the vodka blueberries and now this, you sure are handy to have around!!!

Okay........as promised......the recipe for Apricot Brandy

2 pounds dried apricots
1/2 Cup Sugar
3 Cups brandy
2 tablespoons honey

Mix all in huge glass jar or container with sealable lid.

Store in dark cool place for 4 to 8 weeks.

you can strain the brandy and give in pretty bottles OR like I do leave the fruit in there..Folks like that as well.
Enjoy

wow, that seems so simple now doesn't it?

So you can make about any kind of fruited brandy by exchanging the fruit? Sounds like a winner to me!! Thanks again, junebug, hope your mom had a wonderful birthday?

Here's the secret.... always have multiple projects going and always have one wherever you are. I always take a knit/crochet project with me and that way I can work while waiting (picking up kids from school, orthodontist appts.) I keep one basket of knit/crochet in the living room where I sit to watch TV. Before you know it, the project is done and I need to start another for that bag or basket. I break up the knit/crochet with sewing/quilting or other assorted crafts.
