I look for chicken fabric in every quilt or fabric store that I go into. Im obsessed enough that Im getting a good collection together but I havent decided what to do with it. LOL.

www.speckledhenquilts.net is the website for the shop where I got the egg and chicken fabrics. I dont think they show it online, but try contacting them and asking about any that you are interested in.

Fiesta Chocolate

2 lbs white chocolate or almond bark
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups salted dry roasted peanuts
2 cups minature marshmellows
4 cups rice krispies

melt chocolate and peanut butter in microwave, stir well to mix. Add all other ingredients and stir well to coat evenly. Drop onto wax paper in spoonfuls. Let harden and gift package..really good!!!

I also love those butterscotch chip chinese noodle haystacks...I don't have a recipe for those but I think someone mentioned them earlier in this thread..they are awesome too!

I picked up crocheting a couple weeks ago. I joined the BYC crocheting thread and they have really helped me with any questions. Big help to internet video lessons.

I have the homemade vanilla extract bottled and labeled and ready to go, but I still have to make the bath salts. I don't know if I should add peppermint essential oil to the bath salts, or a sweet lemon cookie fragrance oil that I have...tough decisions!

I'm also giving baked goods as gifts. I have two cookie doughs frozen, all I have to do is pop them on a baking sheet and throw them in the oven. But I'll still be busy because I'm making a cake for Christmas, bar cookies, and a batch of lemon ricotta cookies. And I'll be making chocolate truffles to take to the in-laws.

I'm starting to get slightly nervous about all this baking.

When it is getting overwhelming for me, I take one day at a time and plan to make one easy or quick thing and one that takes more time. with an easy schedule , it takes pressure off and if i get done with the planned things and still have time, I at least start something.

When I used to bake hundreds of cookies at Christmas, I would mix up all the dry ing. for all my recipes, put them into containers, list the name, and other ing. needed and where the recipe was. When ever I had some time, I would make it. It takes less time just adding the wet ing, shaping and baking.

If you get short on time, only you know what you were making, so you can always decide to hold off on something until next year. This is a time of year when EVERYONE should enjoy themselves. If you stress yourself out, you won't enjoy the season as much and as a result those you love won't either.

Relax, and have a Merry Christmas!!
Monica
