Nice Afgan...love the chicken stick pin holder!

thought I would post a picture of the dolls I make...might help someone else...
They are for fun, silly times, and friendships..they are primitives....this one is for my little girl.

They are simply made out of muslin, pattern you draw out, embroidery the face and it's expression....then whatever you want.
Oh, sometimes I make the legs in material that looks like tights...sorry, these are wrapped for my neices...but then you don't need shoes...or you can paint on shoes, or cut in black fabric for shoes.

This little one is getting 2 pairs of removable shoes...she loves shoes like her mommy!

*I haven't forgot my little fellows...I make them fuzzy monsters...

DD2 makes very similar dolls. Many are large heads with hardly any body at all. She loves making these! She asked for cloth & thread for Christmas, because now she wants to make some based on her favorite Manga characters.

I bought Smores in a paint bucket can from Walmart yesterday, lol!! I thought it was cute and the kids love them, it has candy bars graham crackers and marshmellows in it. I think it was even marked down with all the other Christmas goody stuff.

I worked on my version of the red bird (chicken?) pincushion..I used really thin jute and my embroidery needle has a round end not a pointed one so those things I need to change on the next one..and I might try a yellow body to look more chickeny but all in all I think it will be cute. WIldsky told me stuff it witth rice, duh, I never thought of that while I was whining about having no stuffing!! So I will try that today and get it finished..so here it is unstuffed..menaing the bottom isn't closed with stitching either..

I still need to finish my napkins and placemats, make doggie crackers and 1 more chicken wire basket. I need them done by tonite. They need to be delivered this weekend!

I am waiting for the school closure alert for today. The kida have gone to school once this week. We went to town yesterday afternoon and needed chains because the roads were so icy! I can't imagine the school risking everyone having the buses driving on the mountain roads with this much ice. SOOO, if they stay home I will have help with everything.

Does anyone knnow if air temp. affects candy making? We made some cany on Wed. and none of it turned out right, it's still edible but not how it should be. It was about 29*, without windchill.

DGD finished another hat, I will post pics later, with pics of everything finished.

cknmom-I don't know about air temp and I've made candy with it a lot colder than 29 (I wish we would get back up to 29) with no problem. Humidity will goof things up though. You should not make candy if the humidity is high.
