The bee's and ladybugs are like on a big button - aida cloth with a felt back glued on.

MY guess would be look at thestitchery first, she loves that place....

That is absolutely adorable!!!! What alot of hard work and a true keepsake!!!! She gets an A+ for that effort Wild!!! WOW!!! I made wooden checker boards one year and painted then and bordered them with old tobacco sticks from a barn on my in-laws property and bought old checkers to go on them, gave alot of those away that year, still have one but checkers are long gone. The tobacco sticks are impossible to find now for some reason. Anyway, a handmade gift seems to always be the best to me...and a gift a month sounds like a good plan Wild Egg!!!

I have a new project for next year!!!

A friend's mom passed away early November. While cleaning out the house, her daughter found some chicken-shaped pot holders. And she gave them to me for Christmas! She knew I would appreciate the sentiment as well as the craftiness. They are adorable and don't look too hard to make. I'm taking them to MY Mom's for the weekend so she can help me design a template for making more of them!!

Sorry, didn't take any pics of them yet. Guess you'll have to wait on those

And this thread doesn't have to be about Christmas. I say modify the title to say "What are you making for Easter" and leave it up for another 6 months! There are a lot of good ideas here that aren't strictly Christmas crafts!!!

I think the person that started this thread has not been an active part of the BYC community for ages, the thread was just so awesome that we have all kept it going..good idea though, maybe the mods can just change the title to Crafters, What are You Making? That would keep it active and we can use it all year long, great idea Lori!!

I have a pattern leaflet on "whimsical potholders" with a chicken pattern in it, can you take a picture of your potholders and if I have the pattern in the book I'll post it for you.

Hey Wild Egg..is that board covered with glass or plexi glass??
