Crafters- What are you making???

I've missed all of you. DH has been off work a lot so has been hogging the computer or using the office chair working on guns. I also was sick for a few days and did not feel good enough to even turn on the computer. When I did get back on, it took me three days to catch up! So here I am!

I think I may take the day off from cleaning and do crafts. It is almost warm enough to go outside and get my pots so I can wash them. I will get out my canning lids and see what ones are getting too old to use(I might have some in my craft stuff though) and find which water bottles can't be refilled anymore. I bet DGD would like to do some also.

Hey Monica,
I had my 9 yr. old in here with me making them. She is hooked on making the little pincushions. She can sniff out a pop bottle lid by a 1/4 mile. LOL

Acre, I finally did a project with some denim! Ok, well, it's not totally finished, but it's close (maybe).

Here's my checker board (maybe - I'll explain why I keep saying maybe in a second).

It's not perfect, but I really like the look of the denim. It's all from the same pair of DH's old jeans. I love that there was different color variation within that 1 pair of jeans! It looks neat.

So, now I can't decide... do I finish this up as is and make some checkers to use with it... OR do a make a whole quilt? I think it would be cool to make other blocks this size using different fabric with denim and putting them all together in a quilt. Hmmmm... decisions, decisions....

Thanks! I had fun piecing it so far.

I guess it would be better to make it a wall hanging like you suggested... the fabric for my wedding quilt should hopefully arrive this week, so I'd better finish this quick!

Shoot, I can't remember - how many checkers do you have when you play? 12 of each color?

That looks great! I would finish it off for a checker board. If you decide you want to do a quilt after the wedding quilt is done then you could always go a head and make one.
