Well, I am glad that I only have one bag stuffed because I totally forgot any scent!! That completed one has a nice Foodlion rice odor!!! I have plenty of soap scents, some lavendar which might be nice, not so sure though as the rice smell is obvious..might have to sprinkle some in a handful of rice and wrap it in a dishcloth and microwave before I ruin alot of it. The scent sounds like a good idea though!

The scents is a good idea! I have some made for our own use and they smell like rice. If I make anymore I will have to try the scent idea, thank you!

The fragrance oil in the rice bags can be over powering and very strong, I prefer mine without it.

Yeah, I'm not really so sure either, the rice is a bit strong and I am having a hard time thinking of what would go nicely with hot rice smell, lol!!! I will try a handful in the microwave when I open a bag to stuff the other 4 I made but I'm pretty much thinking au naturel!!

Giving the Debbie Mumm throw to a sweet friend of mine today..hope she likes it..I know it's Christmasy but she told me last week that she is struggling so much with finances that she is not heating her house much and wearing alot of layers at home so I thought she might like to sit on the couch with it, it's really soft, not real thick fleece but most fleece is warm anyway. I know the Christmas fabric is out of season but this was a last minute decision for me anyway so maybe it will be cheerful, I'll let you know if it is well received or not. I have squares cut to make about 2 more so hopefully they will last till Christmas for giveaway!!

i'm making insulated coffee cup wraps - the kind you can slip around your coffee cup when on the road so your hands don't burn.
i buy alot of coffee in cups at the gas stations, etc and always seem to get the hottest cup!!
making a bunch for my quilting group.

erythmom, are these the foam cozy's? Or are these the paper things that they put around the coffee cups in coffee houses?

Very sweet of you Scrambled!

I made one of the rice bags with eucalyptus - specifically for when someone has a snotty nose, it was OVERPoweringly strong, but has faded a bit. THe rice smell also fades after a while, so it wonn't be stinky forever either way.

Most of you know I'm making aprons but I'm adding a couple of new items to my etsy site...pin cushions and earrings. Everyone check it out (in my signature) and give me your opinion. Should I make more? I'm still making aprons too but the pin cushions are a great way to use up small scraps left from the aprons. The earrings started from someone making a special request, funny what that kind of thing starts
