Crafters- What are you making???

No, I'd be shot if I tried to bring a chicken in the house. I'm lucky to get to keep the chicks in the house for a couple days after they hatch.

My hubby thinks I'm crazy. Actually I'm not a big fan of the house chicken it's just that we got these new silkies and they have never been out in the cold yet. It's been freezing here and I'm afraid they don't have enough feathers yet. All my others are outside.

Yay! I completed the quilt I was making for my grandma-in-law's birthday and was able to give it to her today.

She was pretty happy to receive it. I already posted this in the quilt block of the month thread, but I thought I'd post it here, too.

The finished product. The pattern is based off of "Diagonal Paths" but I kind of simplified it because I didn't see the need to make it more complicated. It took me just under 3 weeks from start to finish (around work, packing to move, etc). It is machine pieced and hand quilted (just because I really enjoy hand quilting).

The top is my favorite part. There's a heart in the center with a letter K in it (her name is Karen), then vines and flowers.
