Good Morning All! I need to finish a hat for my mother before she heads for Wisconsin on Wed. I crocheted 2 for my niece for Christmas and Grammy was jealous!! So, I am going to try to surprise her!

I'm working on a black with flecks scarf for Dd15 (she is loving scarfs this year, wants one in every color, lol) Then my cousin wants a black/white hat on the knifty knitter (I really dont like making stuff on it, its boring to me but thats what she wants soooo ). Then I plan on making a puff stitch hat... saw one the other day and really liked it, cute.

Post pics. when its all done.........

My families laugh at me cause I'll be whipping up scarfs in the car on our hour drive to visit to go with my shirts or gifts for one of them... did that 4 times over the Christmas get togethers, lol

Trying my hand at Peyote stitch. I took a class but the teacher wasn't very good so having to teach myself. Spent most of yesterday trying to learn how to read the pattern and get the first few rows done. Here is the link for the pattern - its the Red Hat Lady under the "See the Bags" tab on the left. Teacher indicated that the pattern was to advanced to start with but then I do a lot of crafts and feel confident that I can master it by reading books, Internet and good ol' trial and error. Have mastered harder things by myself, but we will see. Anyway, I'll let you know how I do. Anyone else out there that does Peyote in case I get stuck?
