I do like your hen, although you are correct in stating she needs a bigger crest. However, you may be able to get decent cockerels that don't have floppy Combs if you find her the right guy. All of mine except Eli, from ralphie, are pretty much crele, owing to luck of the draw from AB line cream legbars. I have found some that are lighter, but compared to the "cream" of others, mine are practically glowing golden lol. I'd like to see your cockerels grow out a bit. Are they younger than your pullets? Can you guys critique my up and coming breeders for me please? They're still young but I want to hear your opinions at this stage.

This is Shivers (Daughter named her). She has a bit more gold than I'd prefer and I like a bigger crest but she has a smaller, mostly straight comb that I desperately need to integrate. All my older hens have huge combs that twist and almost fall over. I'm hoping that pairing her with one of the above, lighter colored boys will help. She just started laying a week or 2 ago.

Number two cockerel seems younger anyways... But I love the earlobes on one and three. So nice! Remember to keep a little Chestnut on the wings of your cockerels if possible, and aim for hackle and saddle feathers to match in color. I'd like to see those cockerels grow a bit larger before I'd make a decision, especially since number two looks younger.
