My sister has a silkie that'll lay 1 egg everyday for about 3-4 weeks before she goes broody. My D'Uccles lay everyday, and haven't gone broody yet.I love silkies and silkie crosses.To each their own though. It’s the d'Uccles that I don’t like. Poor layers, and their foot feathers get messier than a silkie’s does in a heart beat.
When my silkies aren’t broody I get approx. 4+ eggs a week.
