Iā€™ll get you some photos of mine later, they are from a good English line of CCLs (I canā€™t take any credit for that, I just payed for them). My first concern is the complete lack of salmon in the breast, a defining characteristic of the duckwing pattern on hens. It seems to me that she has no autosomal red, and that is the cause of this strange pattern, but Iā€™ll have a better look later.

Ah! Forgot to get those photos. I promise to try at the weekend. Iā€™ll show you some photos I have of when they were younger, this wonā€™t show their type but the feather colour is still there, and thatā€™s what you care about for now.
You can see that the neck itself is still very pale, a cream colour (hence the name!). I havenā€™t checked the suggested ā€˜SOPā€™ for a while, but I think it should be almost silver with a very light hint of gold. The thing I noticed with yours was the breast. Notice how mine are obviously different from the rest of the feathers, a salmon colour (orange/pink). This should be the warmest coloured area of the bird.
When I get the new photos, Iā€™ll get some photos of some other chickens to compare them to, to show you what I mean when I say they are lacking Autosomal red.
Hope this helps.

Hi there, hope you are enjoying BYC! :frow

Whatever you've done.. has gone too far.. that coloring doesn't look anything like CCL and what happened to the crest? NO rudeness meant here. Breeding anything of decent quality consistently is quite challenging.Good for you for trying! :highfive:

@dheltzel I've seen some decent post from you regarding this breed.. any feedback to share here.. please and thank you! :pop

This was an interesting write up that includes some of the challenges and differences being seen in US stock (including the chestnut colored chest, cream is not chestnut according to MY current understanding)..
