Crevecoeur Breed -anyone with experience with them?

Hi,
I just obtained some Crevecoeur chicks. I have only Orpingtons and have had no experience with Crevecoeur.
Are there any forum members out there who have them or are familiar with them?

I got a bunch from mcmurrays and the only one that survived is a rooster of course . Similar in size to polish. Send me a pm if you have specific questions .

I wish I had some. I would imagine they are like most of the crested breeds. You likely don't want to mix them in a pen with non-cresteds because they'll tend to get their crests plucked. The non-cresteds just can't seem to resist. Also like all crested birds they won't see as well as your non-cresteds and may seem to be skittish or flighty because of that. Sorry, this experience comes from Polish but I can't imagine it being much different with crevecoeurs.

There is another thread on crevcoueurs. I think they are pretty. I just don't need another pen to build. Too many projects and not just chicken related. It's cooler now and thank goodness the garden beckons.
