I know what you mean. More time would be nice for stuff I want to do. I am wanting to make this beach bag that is made from jute twine. Looks adorable! http://www.crochetkitten.com/ If I ever get some time. Another reason to hire that male maid I guess.

Hope your daughter feels better soon Skand. No fun when they are sick.

I meant to tell ya'll... On Tuesday, we had our first "Off the Hook" club meeting. We had three adults and 12 students (one Hispanic, 10 Hmong, and one boy!) We elected our officers for the year, and started teaching the beginners to crochet. They all seemed to pick it up very quickly, too! There were several others who plan to be in the club, but were doing other things at the time (swim meet, basketball practice, etc.)
And our art teacher just brought a student to my office for me to teach her to crochet for the advanced class that she's in! This young woman is sitting here already working on her second row of sc's! Makes me feel almost like I'm as important as the "real" teachers in the building!

That is wonderful. My niece and daughter are learning right now. It's great for kids to learn crafting. I taught art for a year and it was so fun!
I love your snow chicken. DD and I have been wanting to make one but we have had snow but not a lot at one time and it has always been covered with ice. Not snow chicken snow.

lmc, wish I could tell you that's MY snow chicken. We've not had that much snow in three years here. So... I found the pic on Flick'r!

Aren't we all Homogenous? Or are you talking milk, homogonized?
I'm just kidding.
I think that's awesome, such a great turnout, with more on thier way over to the hooker side!!
You are a wonderful person, LC, and a very patient teacher, esp to have someone come in and already youve taught well enough to catch on so quickly!

The shape of it anyway. I still have to put the face on it. And I made an egg shell for it too

I just went up two sizes in the crochet hook and there you have it.

It's mostly egg shaped too. The kids recognized it as egg shaped anyway!!
