I see that the Queen is back to speed hookin again!!!!!!!!!!

I am still a big fan of that cotton yarn!!! Works up nice and has alot of great colors, good job

Bought a flat of fresh local strawberries yesterday, glad I waited and didn't get any in the first round of sales becasue these are so big and sweet!!!!! In the Martha Stewart Living mag for this month she has a strawberry pie recipe with vanilla wafers, cottage cheese and vanilla pudding in it all in a graham cracker pie crust..making two of those today!!!! The are refrigerated and they look soooooo yummy!!! Have a great day ya'll

Nice stuff Queen! It's so nice to see you back.

I love that cotton yarn too. Except it fades too much after washing. I got lucky the other day and was at Pamida. It's a little store close by and they had about 15 of the sugar and cream for 75 cents. I bought all of them. Now I just need to find time to crochet again.

Rain has stopped and hopefully I can get back outside. I want my polish and silkie to have their new home today!!!!

well I nervously made it through the storms last night, round bout midnight they started and it just rocked and rolled, we had nickel size hail which I bet my horse was just thrilled about, when the sound of that hail hitting the barn roof starts he starts whinning and make a ruckis, so after no sleep and then getting woke up to my 8yr old singing as loudly as she can and banging on her keyboard, I wake up to find the power is out, so I have been scrambling all morning to keep the not even day olds warm and the eggs that are still hatching as a decent temp and the other 2 bators that are holding about 50 eggs a peice warm, I am just a little frazzled, but I got a broody hen on the dayolds, and I warmed some towls in the gas oven and stuck them in the hatcher got it up to a fairly ok temp, and covered the other 2 and they seem to be holding ok, so now I am having to deal with the kids being wired up

and fighting

,

I have them both in corners on oppisite sides of the house. Oh the joys of a stay home mom.

But I love every min of it, and would not trade any of it for the world.

well scoot I am glad you made it thourgh ok. girls I love all the wonderful stuff ya'll have been making keep up the great work. and I hope I can start hooking again soon. well off to calm my nerves and thanks gals for putting up with me this morning. Maw.

Lovemychix.....I LOVE LOVE LOVE that cake!!! How did you get the spiderman on there? I have been thinking about making my kids their cakes this year, but I don't know how to decorate...I don't want to horribly let them down

My kids like home made stuff, but if it looks like a picasso it might make them cry lol!!



I'm sorry to hear about the people that died in the tornados

I am forever scarred by the May 3rd tornado, and I have a special place in my heart for tornado victims.

We had an EF-0 touch down pretty close to our house that night...not a big deal, but when you live in a manufactured home, no matter how nice, it's not safe in storms like that. I had to wake all the kiddo's up and get them out to the storm shelter in the middle of the night because a tornado warning was called right ahead of us. It was chaos, they were crying, and freaking out, and it was just a mess. A word of advice, keep some glow sticks down in the cellar...They are a lifesaver!!

They calmed down after a while, and we read a book. Then we got out and went into the house, and got them ready for bed again.


So I forgot to tell you guys that I do have Gestational Diabetes. I thought that the news would be good..they usually tell you that no news is good news...if we don't call you the tests came back fine, but they hadn't called me after a week. So I called this past Monday, and they called me back to tell me that yes, I did have gestational diabetes

Thanks for letting me know that....

It's not like it was important or anything!

Anywho, I have to go pick up my glucose meter on Tues, and then I have an appt scheduled for the end of this month...

I got it done and all residents are loving it!!! I will take some pics I promise. I'm tired.

One of those busy busy days. Going to bed early.

Okie: I don't do cakes except for my kids birthdays. I bought the basic Wilton decorating kit from Walmart.

I have done some really cute cakes but I'm not that great. When I do them it takes me a long time.

I cut a piece of paper out the size of the cake and then drew it on the paper and after I put my crumb coating on it and let it set I just cut the pieces apart so I could etch them on the cake. I used a paring knife. Then I just carefully tried not to mess it up.

Sounds like something alien.... Oh and yeah they took a week to call me about my test results for GD too.

guess they aren't too worried about it. I know they are busy, but ugh...makes me wonder what the rest of the lab results were.

Well, I am up with the birds this morning and I am not sure I really like it, right now, but thought I would stop by and say hi!

Morning all pregnant and non-pregnant hookers this morning!! Raining here like crazy, think I'll clean house and work on Christmas stuff today. Blew a motor last night while running fifth on the 6th lap, car was really fast but now it's splattered so I hope another one can be put in before next week....glad this isn't coming out of our pockets this year

Yeah this gestational diabetes stuff is for the birds!!

I DO NOT like this at all....I feel like I can't eat anything. Ris has been helping me with knowing what to eat, so that has helped a lot. btw if I forget to pm you back remind me lol! I want to, but I will have a lot going on today...as usual.

What can I eat for breakfast ris? Seems like anything that I eat makes me sick

An EF-0 is the lowest rating on the new Enhanced Fujita Scale...it's a scale that measures tornadoes. It goes from EF-0 to EF-5. EF- 5's are the super scary ones, like the one that took out the town of Greensburg Kansas, and like the one that hit here in 1999. Though at that time there was no E in front of the F yet. The tornado rating scale used to just have an F in front of it(named Fujita for the man that developed the rating scale, in which the level of damage coupled with windspeed indicates the intensity of the tornado.) But they recently added the E to stand for Enhanced. I don't know anything else about the E except for that it stands for Enhanced
