We still have 8 days (9 if you count today, but today's already started, so it don't count). Senior assembly & carnival is today, and the underclassmen are watching videos all afternoon, so it's basically a wasted day. Then exams start Thursday and go through the 10th. Those are only half-days for the kids. And the teachers go home on the 12th!

After that, I can relax & be able to get stuff accomplished in my office.

Have you not learned by now that her puppy (which should be a dog by now) chewed up her camera cord. She has yet to replace it, even though many people are asking her to post pics. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Good morning. I've missed everyone!
Since I got that clearance fabric and been making saddles for $2.50 I've been doing just that.

I sold 65 saddles this week.

I'm taking the afternoon off.
School is out and Syd is just hand sewing little blocks together. She wants to help with the saddles but they aren't easy. So I got her a little project going.

Sorry if I missed anything. I hope everyone is doing well.
Syd's class came this week and checked out the chickens. One of my cochins layed and egg right in front of some kids. They couldn't believe it.

The teacher (who owns chickens) was so amazed on how tame and gentle mine are and how pretty. She must just have reg. chickens. Syd was so proud but really didn't want anyone touching her favorite ones.

That really is a good idea, I will start looking for some of those. We have a swimming pool filter, the sand type, and the intake hose is weighted under a part of my worm bin that was a big tray with a grated bottom for the worms to come through, it works great but the bioballs in the extra foot of space woudl be a great idea. My pond is 1100 gallons, 10 x10 x20. I have plants around it and one pot in it, I'll get another lily, the one I had died. thanks! :0

Congrats on the diaper sales Chix!!!

Just curious acre, why is your break for school during November and December? Is it for the holidays?

I wanted to tell you about my wonderful find yesterday!! A friend from high school was selling his 55 gallon fish tank and wooden stand that went with it, for $65!! Now if anyone out there has a fish tank like that, and paid retail for it, you know how potentially expensive that is. We would have had to pay upwards of $400 to get a tank like that started new.

He knows a lot about fish, and has had fish tanks since he was 7 years old, so the tank is is good condition, just a little dirty. He told us how to clean it without scratching it, and where we could buy the stuff for it. (it still needs a top and filter)

So now we have a new fish tank that we were wanting to get the kids for christmas anyway, for about $225 cheaper after it's all said and done.

Congrats on the diapers Chix! that's great!

Oooo Fish tank! I am jealous. I have just the right space for one in my house and we just aren't able to get one yet.

Good luck with your Pond, SE. How are the races going?

My hooks are on strike, but I am trying to talk them into working on a mobile for Princess Squirrel. Here's hoping.

Hope everyone enjoys your weekend!

Yes, we give them Nov. & Dec. off due to family visits and dinners and gatherings and church events, etc. they get behind on all their work so we decided to give them 3 weeks int he summer months, 1 week each month of June, July, & Aug.

This seems to work great for us too.

And to bad you didn't live out here....I could have gotten you a 44 gallon tank for.....get this.....FREE.

I asked hubby could we get it and he said no because we got rid of ours last year and he didn't want another, honestly.....I didn't either.

A friend of my husbands gave me a free one a few weeks ago. He was moving and it was sitting out in his yard. He said I could have it and now it is sitting out in my yard!

Half full of water now after all the rains.

I have a question bout setting eggs.

I have a broody hen that just started sitting about a week ago. My mother has some bantom (BB red I think) eggs that her hen has been hiding. She is not sitting on them but we know they are fertile since there are 2 roos always with the hen. What I need to know befor I put them under my hen is if the eggs are still good since it has been getting down to about 60-65 here every night. I don't know what is too cold for them. I have 8 eggs so they are no more than 10 days old or less.
