We had lightning strike a power cord down right in front of our house on Friday. Fried my modem. Didn't get back up until now.
The live wire down on the ground sending flame and sparks up and leaving a 6 foot scorch mark in the grass was rather interesting to watch at 2 in the morning. Wheeee. The loud crash that the lightning made hitting the line and frying our modem was not as fun.

Hope everyone is enjoying the heat.

It sure is a hot one, and looks like Summer has hit with enthusiasm.

Algo, I TOTALLY understand!! That's how I felt a couple of weeks ago when my first broody hatched her first egg!! It was too cool!!! I think I'll leave it up to the broody's for a while rather than attempt incubating eggs. It seems much less stressful!

Just leave 'em a lone for a few days, and she'll do her thing

Check on her every once in a while, and make sure you put a small waterer with her and her babies and some chick starter so that they can start eating.

Good Morning.. bleh...it's been too hot here to sleep and there are more lightning storms on the way. yay.

not... At least this time I should be able to convince my DH to unplug stuff. Oh and btw, I am not sure how you southern ladies ever handled being pregnant in the heat of summer...ugh! I can only hope I get used to it.

HEY Y'ALL just trying to stay cool here and do some hookin....its been over 100 the past 3 days!!! no relief in site!
so i try to do what needs to be done very very early in the am or late in the evening!!

Travis finished second but still needs horsepopwer to catch that consistently front running car, the folks that own our car seem to favor the super late model over this late model so Travis does all he can do with it, hopefully they'll improve the motor soon. Thanks for asking

It's still hot here too but the wind is blowing today and that really helps alot with the near 100 degree heat!!

Trying to stay cool here too. It's not nearly as hot here as you have Scoot, but I have an inner belly furnace!

We stay inside in the air conditioning as much as humanly possible

That's pretty much it....and drink tons of water...more than is normal for an elephant

I still keep forgetting to drink enough water....Maybe I need to go talk to the elephants at the zoo. I have always had trouble remembering to drink water, and I think it is because for awhile, if I drank the tap water where I lived, I would get horrible stomach cramps. *shrug* Nitrates in the water was what I was told.

And now I am obviously online deprived, because I seem to have the need to tell you about my water issues.

I think I will go take a nap.

I got a baby today!!!! I couldn't believe it. She's raising it in materity ward. My sweet buttercups tried to eat it.

I got the saw out and made an area really fast. I really thougth those eggs were bad!

I heard a peep. I couldn't believe it!!!! I'm lettin mom get comfy in new area and I will post pics. Black and striped. AWW
