Risurocket - Congrats on passing your glucose test!

Okiemommy - I'm so glad to hear that you and baby Ian are doing great. He is adorable.

Scoot - I LOVE the chicken towels... They are so cute! Do you crochet them or knit them?

Lovemychix - I'm so happy to hear that your little hen is ok and you were brave enough to help her. Good job!

Baustin - Congrats on your first egg.

Algopurple - Congrats on getting your Bator. Keep us updated on how your hatch is going.

Good morning!!! Hope everyone has a great day!! We got so much rain last night that my yard is happy this morning!! My pond was clearer, my tomatoes were all standing tall, my cucumbers have several growing cukes on them, nice to wake up to a fresh, clean start! Supposed to be humid and hot today though so take care any that are outside!! Hope baby-okie and the little squirrel are both fine!! Sounds like alot of baby chicks too, awesome!!!

It's hot here too. It was 122 on my front porch yesterday afternoon which means about 115. The front porch gets really hot when the sun hits it. I'm staying inside and working on a quilt.

Question bout hatching eggs!!
I set 29 (6 bantams) last night and got 15 more from my girls today. I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to open the bator and fill the 12 empty spaces that are now there. The only reason I did not wait for todays eggs is cuz the 6 bantam eggs were getting close to being too old.

Thanks, tnlorprazer!

Congrats on that first egg, Baustin! It's always the best moment.

I am too busy growing my own, so I have no idea about hatching eggs, sorry!

Had a busy day at the fair, so I am exhausted. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Okie, hope you and Ian get to go home!

I'm sorry!!! I forgot to tell you guys that we are home!!!! You'll have to forgive me, percocet is a great painkiller, but it makes me loopy.

A c-section is major surgery, you are amazing to be doing so well already! Hope they did the stiching nice and tight so your tummy is flat for all your effort!! Ian is a nice name, I personally like the names that cant be shortened into a nickname, cept in this case his can be lengthened, lol!! Ian-okie

J/K, good strong name, I like it, he can be anything he chooses with that name.

Been working on a simple stitch smaller afghan for a christmas gift, nice yarn but snaggly like the homespun and that is so aggravating!! It's a pretty veriagated yarn in earth colors though, one of the higher priced ones that I bought a year or so ago off ebay, hope to get that finished soon and in the Christmas gift box in the garage. What's everyone else working on?

I'm working on an afghan for my grandsons wedding present. It's scrappy hexagone joined together with a deep red. The hexagons are like the ones I've got done for the fall swap. This makes the fourth afghan this year. One of my daughters lives in WA and it gets dreary in winter with rain and snow. She wanted an afghan to cuddle under (I've made all her kids one)so I made it of flowers of different colors and joined with green. The other afghans are for other grandchildren.
